Iran’s Foreign Ministry officials made the remarks in a meeting with Norway and Sweden ambassadors as well as the chargé d’affaire of Denmark’s embassy in Tehran.
Earlier, Iran strongly protested to Norway, Denmark, Sweden and the Netherlands over the September terrorist attack in the Iranian city of Ahvaz. Foreign Ministry officials rejected as unacceptable that the European counties harbor those who claimed the deadly attack.
The meeting came amid a standoff between Tehran and Copenhagen over claims that Iran had tried to carry out an assassination plot on Danish soil, a charge Tehran strongly denies. Iran says the claim is part of a false-flag operation by the Israeli spy agency.
