Competing against another three acts, Max & Anne have walked away from the Junior Songfestival 2018 victorious, and holding the Dutch ticket to this year’s Junior Eurovision in Minsk! They will perform their song, “Samen”, at the contest on 25 November, which today became the eighth entry to be announced for Junior Eurovision 2018.
The four acts for the Dutch national final were revealed on 28th July, and now finally, two months on, the winner has been decided. Max Albertazzi (born 17 August 2004) & Anne Buhre (born 31 March 2004) competed against three other strong acts in tonight’s national final, in which the winner was decided by an equal three-way vote between a kids jury, professional jury and a public vote.
The four entries in tonight’s Junior Songfestival were:
Remix – “What Girls Do” – 26 points (8+9+9)
Anna – “Touch Each Other’s Heart” – 32 points (10+12+10)
Max & Anne – “Samen” – 34 points (12+10+12)
Kiya – “Butterflies” – 25 points (9+8+8)
The professional jury was made up of the 2016 winner of The Voice of Holland Maan, theatre and television actor Buddy Vedder and singer and musical theatre actor Tommie Christiaan. The kids jury consisted of the members of the Netherlands’ 2017 Junior Eurovision group, Fource.
