Mafia Raids In Europe Net 90 Arrests

According to CNN, ninety people have been arrested in Europe for connections with organized crime. Raids in Italy, Germany, Netherlands and Belgium netted numerous criminal suspects, who face charges of international drugs trafficking, money laundering and real estate fraud.

Italian authorities arrested 46 people in the Palermo region of Italy on charges for Mafia activity. The raids took place on one day, and roped up the alleged head of the Sicilian Mafia, Settimo Mineo. Other suspects included high-ranking members of the Mafia network, Cosa Nostra.
