Alex Agnew – Jews

Alex Agnew (1972) is a Belgian comedian from an English father and a Flemish mother. He was raised Catholic, but is now an atheist and criticises all religions and bad ideas.

In this excerpt from his show “The Legend Ends” (2013), he makes a sharp distinction between antisemitism and criticism of Israel/zionism. Sensitivity surrounding the Holocaust is due, but is no excuse for a degree of political correctness that paralyses rational debate, at the cost of the human rights of Palestinians. It may even stifle freedom of expression at the cost of ordinary entertainment such as stand-up comedy, Agnew argues.
