NASA launches new Mars mission with Perseverance rover

NASA has launched its ambitious new mission to Mars to search for signs of life.

A Saturn V rocket blast off from Cape Canaveral in Florida with a new research rover on board.

The Perseverance rover was ten years in the making and is set to land in the Jezero crater, where it will take rock samples and test new exploration technologies.

The project could pave the way for future manned missions to the moon and Mars.
